St Louis Megachurches
I decided to post this page on the Bible Wiki Blog- though the content of this unrelated to the main focus of the blog. This page documents, what I have found in my own research, to be considered "megachurches" in the St Louis area. A megachurch is any church with an avg weekly attendance of 2,000+. This is not a ranking of the quality of these churches (I am part of one and another church on this list is led by false teachers), this only has to due with their size. This includes "multi-site churches" or a church that meets at multiple locations.
If you think I missed any churches, comment below and provide some links with some further context. If you have additional details on attendance or other facts, please let me know.
If there is enough demand/info I may also expand this list to include "large churches" of 1,000+ in attendance.

See my list of the largest churches in Missouri.
First Baptist Church of Arnold
First Baptist Arnold is my home church. It is Southern Baptist, Evangelical & Conservative. Very missions-oriented. Approximately 2,500 weekly attendance. Senior Pastor, Kenny Qualls. Located in Arnold, Missouri (Northern Jefferson County)- meaning most people come from the southern part of the Metro Area (South St Louis County, Jefferson County and a handful from St Louis City and Metro East).
Has a free gym, walking track and exercise facility. Expansive programs and small groups for all ages (birth-preschool, k-5, middle school, high school, college, single adults/young professionals, married adults, senior adults, men's+women's groups). Large VBS, hosts a fireworks show and carnival, trunk-or-treat (with motorcycle stunt shows) and a Christmas show.
Pathfinder Church
Pathfinder Church is located in Ellisville, Missouri (west St Louis county). Previously known as St John's Lutheran Church, it is a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod congregation. It is the largest lutheran church in Missouri and one of the largest, if not thee largest LCMS congregation. Weekly attendance of in upper 2,000's. Was in the top fastest growing churches in 2019 according to Outreach Magazine. Senior Pastor Dion Garret.
The Crossing Church
Non-denominational. Located in Chesterfield, Missouri with several smaller satellite campuses. Around 2,700 avg weekly attendance across all of their campuses. Senior Pastor Greg Holder.
Harvester Christian Church
Located in Saint Peters, Missouri (western St Louis area/St Charles Area) with a satellite campus in Troy. Non-denominational, associated with the Restorationist movement. Lead Pastor Doyle Roth.
Attendance: 2,400-3,500 (2016).

Grace Church is located in Maryland Heights, Missouri with a smaller/secondary campus in Granite City, Illinois. Grace Church is non-denominational. Senior Pastor Ron Tucker.
6,000 in attendance.
Church on the Rock
Church on the Rock is located in St. Peters, Missouri. Non-denominational (charismatic). Appears to have a prosperity gospel teaching (though not as apparent as in Faith Church, see below). Senior Pastor David Blunt. No reports on attendance.
The Journey
Non-denominational, affiliated with Acts 29 planting network and Southern baptist Convention. Once operating under a multi-site model, it considers itself more of a fellowship of several churches. Largest location in Tower Grove and 5 other locations. Result of several church mergers.
Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist
Historically African-American congregation located in St Louis City with a satellite campus in Florissant. Church is "missionary baptist". Extensive social justice programs in St Louis city. No reports on theological stance (i.e if it is liberal or conservative; at quick glance it seems conservative). Senior Pastor Michael Jones.
No reports on attendance (auditorium seats 2,500).
Element Church
Element Church is located in Wentzville missouri with satellite campuses in St Charles and Warrenton. Element Church is non-denominational (charismatic)? Senior Pastor Erik Lawson. Attendance: 3,500 (2017)
Faith Church
Largest campus in Sunset Hills, Missouri and several other campuses in Earth City (2nd largest), Weldon Springs, Ferguson and West Palm Beach, Florida. The largest church in the St Louis area. Non-denominational and charismatic. This church clearly teaches prosperity gospel theology, word of faith and associates itself with Joel Osteen. I would never, ever recommend going to Faith Church.
Senior Pastor David Crank.
Attendance: 8,000-10,000+
Christ Church Fairview Heights
Christ Church is located in Fairview Heights, Illinois. It is a Non-denominational church (recently left the UMC). Attendance: 2,600 (2018). Senior Pastor Shane Bishop.
