Word for Word: Episode 54

And Light Was.

And (the)* Mighty One said, "Be Light" and Light was. Then the Mighty One saw the light, that it was good. So The Mighty One separated the light and the darkness. And the Mighty One called Light "Day" and darkness He called "Night". Then there was an evening and there was a dawn: day one.
Genesis 1:3-5 (*definite article is not in front of the name “Elohim”)

What had been a dark mass in a flux, probably collapsing on its own weight, was in a moment transformed as electromagnetic energy appeared “out of nowhere”. It is likely that the charged particles had now reached that narrow band that is visible to sentient creatures that had yet to be created. This happened mainly to allow life as we know it to exist.

Photons equal to the massive molecular blend of electrons and nuclei may have hugged the surface for mere moments before darkness returned. At this point God made it so that the light became localized away from the surface until the light was to one side, providing a period called a “Day” (Heb: יֹום <yom>). That the massive “waters” were in a spherical form is evident in that there was now a region in complete darkness on the side away from the light. At the same time, though, there were regions of lower light over the curved horizon: evening in the east and morning in the west. This continued for the whole rotation of the mass below the light source.

Of the different models for the early universe, the one that fits known and revealed facts is to have all of space-time and matter-energy at the same place. The sphere of the universe, as perhaps in the form of water plasma, would have a diameter of from two to ten light-years (depending on assumptions as to the size of the universe today). A single rotation on “day one” at the “equator” would have free electrons “traveling” for from 6.283 to 31.416 years at the accepted “speed of light”. This rotation would be from from about 2300 to 11,500 days when viewed from afar, but only one day's length at the surface (if an entity could survive there).

Since the “sons of God shouted for joy” at the laying of the “foundations of the earth” (Job 38:4-7), it is probably at this time that the angels were made. These spiritual beings would later be seen by people as being clothed in white (Mark 16:5) that is, light (λευκόςfrom the Greek root luké,meaning light). Though one can only imagine what was happening from the sparse information in the text, clues present a picture of a heavenly realm of light about a light day (16.09 billion miles away). Gravitational time dilation based on the theory of relativity is what “makes this work”, so to speak. In roughly the “time” it takes a child to grow to adulthood, a third of these created angels fell (Rev. 12:3-4). However, on the next day on earth a great separation began.

The above scenario is based on the text and scientific theory as this author understands it. It is meant to stimulate discussion as to understanding the "how" in God's creation. Discussion is welcome in the Comment section.
